About Leke Leke Waterfall

Leke Leke Waterfall, also known as Kipuan Kebo, is a serene and picturesque destination nestled in the central region of Bali. The journey to the waterfall is an experience in itself, taking you through lush greenery and offering a tranquil escape from the bustling tourist spots. The entrance to Leke Leke is adorned with a few attractions including a warung for refreshments, and the path down is well-maintained, combining concrete steps, sand paths, and a bamboo bridge amidst beautiful plant life. The hike is considered easy to moderate, taking about 15 minutes, but caution is advised as the path can get slippery, especially during the rainy season.

Upon arrival at the waterfall, you’ll be greeted by its stunning beauty, set within a cove and giving the feeling of being in the midst of the jungle. The waterfall, about 15 meters high, is surrounded by lush vegetation, making it a hidden gem perfect for those seeking solitude and natural beauty. While there are minimal facilities at the waterfall itself, just a tiny changing room, the overall experience is rewarding with its calming atmosphere and scenic views.

The entrance fee to Leke Leke is 50,000 IDR per person, and it’s open from 7 AM to 5 PM. It’s recommended to arrive early, preferably before 12 PM, to avoid crowds and enjoy the best light for photography. The best months to visit are between March and June, with the waterfall being most powerful towards the end of the monsoon season in March and April.

For photographers, Leke Leke offers a dreamy backdrop, especially from the viewing platforms and the base of the falls. Early arrival is suggested for the best light and fewer crowds, but be prepared for the spray from the falls, which can soak camera equipment.

Leke Leke is not just worth a visit; it’s a must-see for those exploring Bali, offering a blend of adventure, natural beauty, and a peaceful retreat from the island’s more frequented spots.
