About Marble Mountain In Da Nang

Marble Mountains, located just a short distance from Da Nang in central Vietnam, are a cluster of five limestone and marble hills, each named after one of the five elements: Metal, Water, Wood, Fire, and Earth. These hills are not only famous for their natural beauty but also for their historical and spiritual significance, dotted with various caves, tunnels, and Buddhist sanctuaries that have been carved out of the rock over centuries.

Water Mountain (Thuy Son), the largest and most visited of the five, is home to several exquisite cave temples and pagodas, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape and the nearby coastline from its summit. Visitors can explore the intricate network of caves, where natural light filters in through fissures in the rock, illuminating the religious and historical artifacts within. Among these, Huyen Khong and Tang Chon caves are particularly noteworthy for their stunning natural formations and altars adorned with Buddhist and Hindu statues.

The journey up Marble Mountains is a mix of steps carved into the rock and modern staircases, making the site accessible to a broad range of visitors. Along the way, one can admire the craftsmanship of stone sculptures and masonry, a tradition that continues in the nearby artisan village, where skilled workers craft intricate statues and souvenirs from marble and limestone.

Visiting Marble Mountains offers a unique blend of cultural, historical, and natural exploration. The site is not only a place of worship and pilgrimage but also a testament to the artistic and spiritual heritage of Vietnam, making it a captivating destination for travelers seeking to delve deeper into the country’s rich cultural tapestry.

A beautiful place to go on a discovery journey. While the terrain can be a bit demanding with its ups and downs, the small shrines and temples nestled among the rocks and caves create a truly enchanting atmosphere that makes the effort worthwhile. The entrance fees are quite reasonable and well worth the experience. You should plan to spend around 2-3 hours to complete the entire circuit. The exact duration will depend on how much time you spend at each site and your overall fitness level. Whether you take your time to absorb the serene beauty or move at a quicker pace, this place offers a magical experience that shouldn't be rushed.

Marble Mountains located in Ngũ Hành Sơn, Đà Nẵng is a very fascinating and fun place! It’s all natural rocky mountains with profound history. Mountains are high but not hard to climb. It’s more like elevated walking paths unless you want to climb to the top then it’s challenging. However, there’s an elevator for those who do not want to climb. Really recommend going there! We were there for three hours. Entrance price is 40,000 VND for adults only, children do not pay. If you want to take the elevator up, it's another 15,000 dong. There are a lots of steps to traverse, so those who find stone steps challenging please take your time and enjoy the parts of the area which don't require too many steps. There is a lift which takes you from ground level to the main walking level above. That ticket price is slightly more than the ticket to walk up directly. Beautiful Scenery! On the base of the mountains there are thousands of shops which sell stones, marble souvenirs or even large statues of almost everything you can think of.It’s worth to visit!!!

Although it is touristy, it still offers a great experience and is definitely worth it.You should plan about 2-3 hours for a visit to explore everything. There are several paths and stairs leading to the various peaks, from which you can enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding area. The landscape provides a wonderful backdrop for photos.Tickets can be purchased on site. The entrance fee is 40K per person. If you don't want to walk the first part to the top, you can buy a ticket for the panoramic elevator for 15K.The quickest and cheapest way to get to the Marble Mountains is by taxi/grab.

One of my favorite places nearby Danang, the Marble Mountains. Took the elevator up and we were greeted by a beautiful view of the other marble mountains, the view of the sea and also a pagoda right behind us.Initially I thought that was all but I was soon proven wrong. The whole place is massive with lots of stairs. And I feel that we could easily spend an entire day exploring all the hidden caves, temples and statues.Very surreal experience to be seeing places of worship hidden deep inside giant limestone caves. 10/10 would recommend.

Really interesting place to visit with many caves, refreshments and lots of shade to rest. Not accessible for pushchairs as there are many steps and small spaces to go in. You still can do it with baby carrier or just holding your baby. We went with a 4 year old and a 1 year old and they had a great time, we all did.
