Passed by and stopped when I saw the large statue. There was decent parking, and opportunities for food and drink on site. Guan Yu Shrine is quite compact, so everyone can take their time for a stop here, as you don't need to spend more time than desired.Across the street is the sea next to a pleasant bar and restaurant, with long sandy beaches. Definitely a stop for both the experience, relaxation and dining.

This shrine is located at the souther end of Koh Samui near Lamai Beach. Guan Yu was a Chinese military general in ancient times who was very well known for not only his bravery but also for his righteousness. He is worshipped all over by Chinese people. He is also popularly known as God of War. One can spend few minutes over here. The ladies are required to cover their knees and bare shoulders as a mark of respect at this shrine.

Very nice statue of the God of War. Worth a visit but there is not that much to see. They have a scaled model of the complex-to-be which I think will look amazing when finished. Enough space for parking.

The Guan Yu Shrine is huge, and many people are there to walk up to the Guan Yu Shrine to pay homage or respect to Guan Yun - General during the Three Kingdoms period in ancient China. He becomes the protector of many people. The Guan Yu Shrine on Samui Island looks very good, and I’m happy for my visit.

Beautiful large well maintained statue near a good food market (check out the chicken and rice place). There is a nice shrine and other buildings but nothing particularly outstanding. Worth a short stop and a couple photos.
